“R” is a transgender teenager who has recently escaped an abusive household after multiple attempts to seek help from the adults around him failed. 

His former step-mom is one of my best friends, and a fellow dog trainer with a rich background in shelter and rescue work. “R” has recently been able to relocate to live with her, where he is safe! ❤️

Unfortunately, “R” was only able to leave with a suitcase’s worth of belongings, and faces other challenges related to accessing on-going support and care.

If you’re able, “R” and his found family could really use your support as they navigate this transition. Below is a list of ways to show support ❤️🏳️‍⚧️

• Contribute financially via the Best Life Accessibility Fund. Leave a note in the comments that the funds are for “R”. Funds will be used to help pay for groceries, school clothes and supplies, gender affirming care, a new phone/plan that is private, replacement comfort items/art supplies, etc.

• Send items from “R’s” Amazon wishlist

• Leave messages of support here or on social media, or email them to bestlifedogservices@gmail.com. I’ll make sure he receives them. 

• Be a safe place for the trans kids in your life - you might not even know who they are yet, but they’re watching 🏳️‍⚧️❤️
